Listening is by far the most difficult among speaking, listening, reading, and writing. How we listen often determines the health of a relationship. We can Red Listen, listening for the faults, inconsistencies or errors a person makes. We can Green Listen, listening to understand both the ideas and the speaker, listening for the strong threads and the insights. Listening practices can be cultivated, depending on who you want to be and how you want to interact with others. It takes work.
