Ways of Knowing

1 hour

Goethe taught us that we use language differently for living things and non-living things. The words we use carry meaning and deep implications. Standardization works for many non-living things but is inappropriate, even ridiculous, for living things, such as people. Our ways of knowing are enriched by Goethe’s ideas. We can optimize “thinking about” and “living into” material and immaterial realities
We have unique language and frameworks when we are thinking about living things and non-living things. There are distinct ways of knowing: intellectualizing is one way, and living into is another. In this Lab, we explore how these frameworks intersect and yield insight into our current habits and practices, and help us become more conscious about how we invest our time.
As we pursue truth, there are different ways of thinking and using language.

Catalytic Thinking Labs

It's time to move beyond just talking about change.
We'll change how we act when we change how we think. Strengthening my thinking now is something tangible I can do.
